Guy Boulay (1930–2000) was a French abstract artist and painter best known for his mixed-media canvas works and collaboration on limited-edition livres d'artiste (artists' books). Though sometimes mistakenly referred to as Belgian in commercial listings, his deep integration into French cultural institutions and publishers firmly roots his career in France.

Abstract Paintings & Mixed Media: Boulay’s canvas works often relied heavily on mixed media (technique mixte), blending textures, inks, and paints to achieve deep, abstract dimensions. Notable pieces include La Blouse d'un peintre (1981) and Sans titre (1979). His art is held in French public collections, including the Musée d'arts de Nantes and the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Villeneuve-d'Ascq (LaM).

Boulay frequently collaborated with notable writers, poets, and printmakers to create highly collectible, low-run print editions. Major projects include:Fragments & Proverbes (1977) with poet J.C.
